Just a small update today. This update addresses some navigational issues when using the back button. I also improved the home screen layout for tablet users.
In addition to the new website, I also have a fairly significant update to release today.
The most notable change is the addition of satellite GPS maps. The lifts/trails are shown with data from OpenStreetMap. The functionality is limited at this point, but I will work to add track logging, map caching and other more advanced features.
As it’s been a while since I released an update, I’ve been busy at work fixing bugs and improving the existing features. I’ve changed some of the buttons and added more options to the settings menu. I’ve also fixed a lot of bugs that caused the app to crash from time to time. As always there are a few new ski areas and web cams.
Many ski areas in the US are opening, so get out and enjoy the snow!
This is the new home for Ski TrailMaps, the must have Android app for skiers and snowboarders. I decided that it was finally time to upgrade my ultra-primitive website to something a little more pleasing to look at. I’ll continue to update and refine this site, but I don’t want to loose focus of improving the app itself.
